Steampunk dress ;o)

Hi there - well I have been quite busy stamping and I really do want to try to play with my new Spellbinders too!  Anyway thought you might like to see a card so here we go;

I used a shaped card blank for a change but inked around all the edges to blend in.  The stamp is from Kanban (Jaspar set I think)  and I coloured it with Prisma pencils and sansodor.  I used Kanban papers (Cambridge Collection - again I think that's what they are LOL) and I just used my nesties to build up some shapes.  I added some seam binding ribbon, which I coloured with Distress ink as it started out being cream ;o)  I added some pins and an organza rose.  I really like the colours of this - the photograph doesn't really do it justice.  My husband says he really liked it too which is always nice as he isn't a crafter ;o)
Anyway I hope you like it too.
Bye for now

I'm here LOL.

Well I didn't blog yesterday but I have been lost in the jungle that is my craftroom!!  I have been trying to tidy it but I have so much stash there just isn't room (it's only a small room).  Anyway I have made some progress and you can see the desk and the floor now so I am happy ;o)  I thought I'd post one more Jane Shasky card today so here we go;

I just love these herbs, they're really pretty.  Again I've used string instead of ribbon which I think suits the card ;o)  I added a little charm too which is in the shape of some little secateurs - how cute are they?
Anyway I have lots of stamping to do and some art projects I want to do too.  Off to the hairdressers tomorrow so maybe if I have the energy when I get home I'll do some crafting then - if not it'll be Tuesday ;o)
Be back soon

Back with another Jane Shasky card ;o)

Well - I am trying to blog every day so here I am ;o)
I have another Jane Shasky card today so here we go;

I love this image and think it would make a great mans card.  I love being able to add some garden twine instead of ribbon and I added a cute little trowel charm that I've had for ages.  I also added a bit of rafia around the little fork and trowl which I cut out from the embellishments sheet.  Again the papers are stunning and they really don't take much making - these have gone down a storm at the place where I sell them so I will probably be making some more - but I do want to get back to my first love stamping ;o)
I hope you like this card too

CD crafting !

Hi everyone - well I am not a great CD crafter even though I do have loads of craft CDS.  However I bought the Joanna Sheen Jane Shasky CD and it is really lovely and I have made a few cards from it which people have absolutely loved so I thought I'd share with you.  So the first one is so cute;

I just love this little bird.  The colours on this CD are just divine and I even enjoyed cutting out all the decoupage pieces.  I love the pattern papers and I just added a bit of ribbon and some pins (although the colours of the pins look yuck in the photo but really nice in the flesh - I really need to sort a light box out!!).
Anyway I hope you like this card and I will post another 1 or 2 cards from this CD again tomorrow.  I am hoping to do some stamping tomorrow too so hopefully pictures will follow from that too ;o)

CUC challenege - Everyone has Favourites!!

Hi all - I really can't believe how the time is flying by, it's nearly March but hopefully that means that we may get some warmer weather and I might start to feel better - my health always seems to be worse when it's colder.  Anyway on to this weeks challenge with Craft US Crazy

Our challenge theme we have for you this time is FAVORITE COLOR/FAVORITE EMBELLISHMENT!!

We have a lovely and always fun sponsor with us this challenge! The one and only...

And DIGITAL DELIGHTS will be giving the following prize to our winner....

Well I have loads of favourites but I chose to do something a little different so here we go ...

So I have used pink and white which I love but don't use on cards very often.  I have also used my trusty Spellbinders .  The backing paper is made by embossing with a large impressabilities and then inking through like a stencil. I used the lace doily motifs and accents, which I cut and then layered up (oh and I lightly inked through them too) and I used the little banner type one to stamp my sentiment into.  I used pink and white ribbon and added a couple of bows and my favourite hatpins.  I then made some roly flowers with hemp tape which I cut in half, then feathered the edges and rolled them up - I just love these little flowers and I added an organza ribbon rose on the top.  I'm not sure you can see it too well but on top of the layered Spellbinders I added a little acetate butterfly which is white embossed.  This card was super simple to make and I think it looks kinda nice ;o)
I hope you join us over at Craft US Crazy as you can do any craft - cardmaking, scrapbooking, altered art or anything else you fancy!  Pop over to the blog and check out the design team's inspiration - I hope to see you there!

We have a new to Craft Us Crazy and a wonderful and lovely sponsor with us this challenge! The one and only...

And BUGABOO STAMPS will be giving the following prize to our winner....

I have used the fabulous Scene it Ladybugs for my card and it's a little different than my usual style - I thought the image needed to be bright so I used the fabulous DCWV papers from their Green Stack;

The image is coloured with Prisma pencils and just matted and layered onto the bright papers.  I added some ribbon and twine and a sentiment from Crafty Secrets and that was that - really simple but really cute I think - Ideal for a child's card.  Hope you like it ;o)
