I have used some new paint fusion stamps from Sheena Douglass for my project;

I've made a card that has a little box for 5 tealights on the side.  The tealights I had were sunflowers so a little bigger than normal so I could only fit in 4.  I have the new sunflower stamps for paint fusin so I used these to match the tealights and painted them onto a crackled mountboard tag.  I added some ribbon and layered up some coredinations card stock as a base.  I used an embossing folder from Darice to emboss the flowers on the yellow card.
It's a really simple card but quite effective.

Craft US Crazy monthly challenge sponsor

Hello everyone, just a quickie from me this morning as I have so much to do.  I am posting  a card mde using the One Spring Day Printable stamp set from C U C's monthly sponsor, the Cutting Cafe.
I have done a large Easel card in colours that I wouldn't normally choose but I thought they suited this card ;o)

All the images are from the stamp set and are coloured with pro markers.  The papers are from DCWV The Green Stack which is where I took the colours from.  I added some buttons and ribbon from my stash and that was it.  Quite a quick card really but kinda cute ;o)
Hope you like it.
Back soon with the next challenge from C U C and another knitted bag and a painted mirror.

My first attempt at a hand knitted bag

I've been feeling really rotten lately and not really up to sitting at my desk to craft.  As I am comfiest on my bed it is almost impossible to get lots of papercrafting stuff onto the bed so I can craft there as I never know what I'm going to need and so end up with piles of stuff everywhere that just has to be taken back into my craft room at the end of the day.  So I thought I would give knitting a go as I haven't done any for years.  At the trade show in February I saw a book by Ella Rae for knitted bags that are felyted and I just loved them.  I tried to get the pattern book everywhere in the UK to no avail but finally found a great company in the USA who were willing to ship internationally.  So a big thankyou to Coveted Yarn who are the most helpful firm to deal with.
Anyway i finally got the book and managed to get the wool and after just a few days I had managed to knit all the components for my bag.  I gthen had the nerve wracking task of felting them all in a hot wash in my front loading machine.  Anyway that seemed to work so I stitched all the bits together along with some lovely handles and this is what I ended up with;

I am so chuffed with this as it actually looks like a bag that would cost a fair bit of money in one of those fancy gift stores.
I am now just waiting to get the right coloured thread to stitch together my next bag and I will post piccies as soon as it is done.

Card for a teenager

Well it's a very long time since I was sixteen so I find it quite hard to do cards for teenagers.  However, I was asked to do a 16th birthday card for a grandad to give to his granddaughter.  I was really worried that what I came up with would disappoint so took ages trying to decide what to do.  Anyway here is what I ended up with;

The stamp is from Bildmalarna and is called you and me.  It is available here ..
The papers are Basic Grey - Cappella I think.  I cut out her name on my Cricut along with the 16 on the front and inside the card, and distressed all the papers with Distress inks  . The image itself is coloured with Aqua markers.  The flowers and lace was from Wild Orchid crafts.
I thought this was a nice card as not too babyish but representative of how a granddad always sees his granddaughter as a little girl.
I made a nice box for it to go in too.
Well I was still nervous about it but he was really pleased with it so I was chuffed with that in the end.  I just hope Jessica liked it too ;o)
I hope you like it too.
