My new crafty space

Morning!  Well it looks like it's going to be another hot day here.  I thought I would pop back as promised with some pictures of my new little crafty space ;o)  I would post some pictures of my craft room at the moment but I am too embarrassed as it is such a mess!!  Anyway, my lovely dad offered to pay for a small summerhouse to be put up in our back garden as an extra craft space for me.  It is now up and hubby and I have painted the inside and now I just have to sort out some carpet and a nice table to work on and some storage things.  Anyway here are some piccies;

It is only small but the extra space will make a big difference.  I can't wait for it to be finished ;o)  Plus with the big windows on each side too it is a really bright and airy space.  I am hoping it will be a great space for my creativity to go wild as I am hoping to plan some classes and workshops for my local area when I can find a suitable venue.

Just a note to remind everyone that I am having a Design Team call on my store blog so please pop on over there for all the details and give it a go ;o)

Anyway I hope you like my new craft room.

Distressed Lottie

Hello everyone - well what a change in the weather, it is so nice to see some sunshine ;o)  Anyway I thought I would show you a card using a stamp from the Humphrey's Corner range by Crafter's Companion.  This is Lottie and she is on her swing;

She is distressed because I have coloured her with Distress markers !  I thought these colours gave her a vintage look which I love.  I embossed some core'dinations card for the background and also added a little patterned paper from the Humphrey's Corner CD Rom.  I inked all the edges with brushed corduroy distress ink. I stamped the sentiment with Wild Honey distress ink and embossed with clear detail powder.   I added some hemp cord flowers and some punched leaves.  I finished with a vintage ribbon bow and a lovely old leather button which I think looks lovely on this card ;o)
I did the inside to match.
I really like this card which is unusual for me as I usually find faults and wish I'd done something different but I like this and don't think I will part with it LOL.

I'll be back shortly with some pictures of my new little crafty studio - I've had a small summer house put in the garden as my craft room is overflowing so I am really looking forward to when it is finished and I can move some things in there - Anyway more of that in a little while

Another Humphrey card ;o)

Hello again ;o) Well I am back with another card using the Year with Humphrey stamps but this time it's his mum and dad! I just love this image and think it is so sweet -

The black and red card is actuall black magic core'dinations that was white underneath but I embossed it, sanded it and then inked over in red to fit the red and black theme ;o)  The image is matted onto a littl bit of Core 'dinations core couture.  The red card is Bazzil bling (I think LOL) .  The image is coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and I have put glossy accents on the balloons but that doesn't show too well on the photo.  I added ribbon, twine and pins from my stash ;o)
I really like this and think it would make a great Valentines card or just a lovely birthday card from husband to wife or vice versa (or between partners etc)  - my husband adores elephants so I know he would like a card like this too ;o)

On a different note there is a design team call on my store blog which you will find HERE .  Please give it a go, as long as you have a blog it doesn't matter if you've never been on a design team before ;o)
Finally I have 136 pro markers that I no longer use and would be willing to sell for a reasonable offer.  They are various colours and haven't had too much use so should last for a good while.  Anyone interested please email me and I can send more details if required (or a photo so you can see the colours there )
Be back soon ;o)

I love Humphrey ;o)

Hello all, well it has been a better day here weather wise - it's been nice to see some sunshine, just a shame that the wind is still quite chilly.  Anyway my little craft room in the garden is nearly finished and I am hoping to get in there at the weekend to start painting it - I can't wait - although it is only small I am hoping it will take the strain out of my creaking craft room in the house which is stuffed to burst LOL.

Anyway I am here with a crad - it is using a stamp from the Humphrey's Corner range.  It is one of the newest ones which was launched with the A Year with Humphrey CD.  So here it is;

I cut the card shape out with a grand nestie and then added core'dinations card and some patterned paper from the Humphrey's Corner CD.  I coloured the image in with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I just love the little duck - I added him to the inside of the card too ;o)  I finished the card off with some vintage ribbon and flowers from my stash!

I hope you like my little elephant LOL
