Chickens!!!

Hello all - I don't have a card today or anything paper related actually but I thought you might like to see something I have made for an order - Christmas chickens LOL!!!
I did a craft fair a few weeks ago and had a chicken I had made and somebody asked if I could do a Christmas version for his two daughters so here is the result;

They wanted Christmas dungarees and their names on the front - I'm quite pleased with how they've turned out, I just hope they will like them too ;o)

Craft Us Crazy - challenge 28, Children and/or Fall

Well it's the Craft Us Crazy challenge time again ;o)

The challenge for this fortnight is;
Children and/or fall

Our sponsor this week is
The Stamp Fairy

The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to spend online.
I have used the digistamp Molly Fall to do a card with an Autumnal feel to it ;o)

I chose papers from the Desert Bloom pad by First Edition and selected my colours for the image from there.  I used Spectrum Noir pens to colour her in - I think orange and green is one of my favourite colour combinations.  I distressed the edges of the paper and the nestie for the image with distress inks in wild honey and peeled paint.  I did a ribbon ruffle at the base of the card with some chocolate brown silky crush ribbon.  I cut some leaves out of core'dinations card with Spellbinders dies, and inked through them with wild honey, peeled paint and walnut stain.  I added a rub-on that says Autumn, from Kaiserkraft and then did the inside of the card to match.  I love this little girl, she's really cute ;o)  I hope you like her too .

Friendship

I'm back - 2 posts in 2 days - WOW lol!!
I thought I'd share a SWALK image today.  It's about friendship - I don't really have many friends so I know how important friendship can be ;o)  So here we go;

I used a kraft card as a base and matted with Dovecraft papers.  I just love the kraft look and think that these pink and teal colours go perfectly with it.  I distressed the edges of the paper with walnut stain distress ink.  I coloured the stamped image with Copics.  I made a little rosette and added a large brad I've had in my stash for ages.  I heat embossed the sentiment directly onto the papers - it looks a little smudged in the photos but it's a lot clearer in real life ;o))  I did some faux stitching around the edge with a Sakura pen - one of those that leaves a silver tint over the colour.  I did the inside to match (I couldn't get a decent picture of that though as it is a tent card ;o)
A cute card for a good friend !

Circus elephant ;o)

Hello there, well it's been a very grey and drizzly day here.  I went out this morning to get my hair trimmed and then went to get some fabric for some orders I have to make and typically the fabric shop was closed!  Such a nuisance when it is such an effort for me to get into town.  I now have to make another trip to get what I need.  Anyway, I thought I wuld share a little card with you made using a stamp from the Humphrey's Corner range of stamps.  This one is Humphrey dressed as a circus character ;o)

I used papers from Dovecraft and took the colours from there to colour the image.  I made a turquoise card base and then matted and layered using the papers (which I distressed with walnut stain ink) and some Kraft card.  I coloured Humphrey with Copics.  I made a little rosette and then heat embossed a sentiment with some red twinkle powder to pop on top of the rosette.  I added some bright buttons with some twine tied through them.  I did the inside of the card to match.  Quite a simple card but I love the bright colours and think it would make a great birthday card for a little boy or girl!  I hope you like him too ;o)

Halloween challenge at Ladybug Crafts

Hello!  Well I have been soo busy yet again and I have a small craft fair I am doing tonight so have loads to do today as well.  However, there is a new challenge starting today at Ladybug Crafts store blog with the them of Halloween and/or your favourite embellishment.  I know that Halloween isn't celebrated here in the UK like it is in the States but I really love the images you can get so thought this was a good excuse to do a Halloween card ;o)  So here it is ;

The broom is a digistamp and I went over the wording with a glue pen and then added gilding flake.  The broom is coloured with Copics.  The spider, web and 'Boo' are cut out on my Cricut and then I added lots of black gems to make the spider twinkle LOL - he is then dangling on a strip of acetate.  The papers are DCWV Midnight Spell and I just love the bright green and orange.  I layered them up on a black card base and some kraft card.  I did the inside of the card to match and added a spider border too .  This is the kind of spider I can cope with ;o)  I hope you like him too ;o))

Craft Us Crazy challenge is back!!! Challenge 27 - Halloween and/or anything goes.

Well the Craft Us Crazy challenge is back  -  HOORAY!!!  There are some new faces on the design team (and a couple of oldies too ;o)).  Please check out the design team as their work is just great!!  You can find links in my sidebar in the CUC DT blog roll.

So, the challenge is Halloween and/or Anything Goes and we have a great sponsor this month;

The one and only...

The winner will receive their choice of any THREE printable stamp sets.

I have used the fabulous 'Fun with Owls' to do a little Halloween card - here in the UK Halloween isn't as big as in the States but I just love all the bright Halloween colours and some of the images you can get for this are amazing so I'm glad to have an excuse to make a Halloween card;

The papers are from DCWV - Midnight Spell.  I used Copics to colour in the owls and cut them out and gave them a little witches hat each ;o)  I cut the tree out on my Cricut and added a branch from the owl set for them to perch on.  I made a little rosette for the corner and added a button and some punched leaves.  I matted it all onto a black card base with some kraft card.  I hope you like my little owls and I really hope you'll join us at the challenge - it runs for a fortnight.  You don't have to do a card - anything you have handcrafted is more than welcome.  We can't wait to see what you make ;o)

Guest blog spot!!

Hello everyone - this is a very late post as I meant it for Wednesday but I've had a wicked migraine on top of one bug after another.  Still fingers crossed that the worst has passed now.

So, on Wednesday I was guest blogger at the Crafty Bloggers network on their Guest Blogger Wednesday .
There's a piccie of little old me (LOL) and a bit about me and then the important bit - a card made for the Autumn season.  So I thought I wuold share it here too ;O)

I used a Creative Expressions stamp plate for the sentiment and the trees and the leaves.  The leaves were stamped and heat embossed on acetate with Cosmic Shimmer powder.  I then turned them over and covered the back in Zig two way glue and let it go clear.  I then dusted Cosmic Shimmer pearlescent powders over the glue to make the leaves look autumnal.  I then cut them out.  I used a black base card and added a strip of autumn acetate across the centre.  The topper was coloured with distress inks and then I flitter glued the sentiment and used gilding flakes.  The little trees were stamped and heat embossed with cosmic shimmer.  I added some crinkle ribbon and then the acetate leaves.  I went around the edges with a Sakura Gelly Roll silver pen.  I did the inside to match.  I really love the Autumn so this card really pleased me ;o)  I hope you like it too.
