Wedding Post Box

Hello evryone - well it's a wet and miserable day here, really quite depressing. I hope the weather bucks up soon and that we do get some decent weather this year - it would be nice to have a Summer LOL.
Anyway I promised pics of the wedding post box that I made.  I've never made one before and all I really had was the colour theme of the wedding, they left the rest up to me.  I was really worried as to wheterh they would liek the finished piece but thankfully she was really pleased with it!  I think all I did for 2 weeks was make flowers LOL.  So here are some pictures;

The colour theme was champagne and purple, so I made the box and then all 250 flowers !  I then tied up a big bow with wired ribbon to finish it off.  I was quite pleased with it and I now have an order for another one so have lots more flowers to make ;o)
Hope you like it

Craft US Crazy challenge

Hello everyone - where the heck has April gone ?  LOL!  I have spent the last three weeks making paper flowers for a commission for a wedding post box, hence my absence - that plus we have been decorating the living room and we have had a small summer house/craft space in the garden ;o)  I'll post pictures of the post box and the summer house later ;o)  Anyway onto the Craft US Crazy challenge.  This is the last challenge for a little while, while Jeri, the fab lady who does all the organising, moves house!  We wish her luck with that and also that all things go well and with as little stress as possible ;o)  The challenge will return on the 5th July so I look forward to that!
But for now our last challenge is;
FAVORITE STAMP COMPANY and/or FOUND INSPIRATION!

Well this was a tough one LOL there are so many favourites to choose from.  Anyway this is what I have come up with ;

I have used two stamps from Clarity stamp available here.  I heat embossed the larger stamp with gold embossing powder and then with the corset I used fusible fibres and then some black thread to lace it up.  The pink cardstock is vintage core'dinations and I have used a couture creations embosasing folder and then sanded it back.  The sentiment is from Creative Expressions.  My inspiration is from the design team at Creative Expressions but especially Sue Wilson whose blog is amazing and always full of inspiration for me - she uses Spellbinders all the time but I just love her style ;o)  I used pink and black as I just love this combination.  I finished the card with some black satin cruch ribbon and a couple of hat pins.

I hope you like my card ;o)

I'll be back soon with pictures of the wedding box and my new crafth space

I'm sooo late for the Craft US Crazy challenge

I've lost a day somewhere!! I've been busy trying to decorate and we're waiting for 2 new sofas to be delivered so I totally forgot to post my effort for the Craft US Crazy challenge.

This week our challenge is ALTERED ITEMS and/or ANYTHING BUT A CARD!!!!! Just remember that it doesn't have to contain both themes, just one of them! But of course if you're up to a real challenge we'd love to see you use both!!
You can accomplish this with stamps, embellishments, thread, anything!! We want all crafters to feel welcome, so if your crafting medium fits our challenge, then we welcome you to join! Whether it be sewing, scrapbooking, altering, cardmaking, candle making, whatever!! We hope you'll be joining us!!

We have a fabulous sponsor this challenge....

I have done an Easter basket ;o)  I have loads of items to alter but thought this basket was really cute ;o)

I just love this zingy orange, green and yellow colour theme - the light in these photos is terrible but in 'real life' this basket is super bright and cheery ;o)
The duck is from Meljens designs and I made him more of a Springy Easter duck rather than a love duck LOL.  He is coloured with Prisma pencils.
The basket is from a Canon website and I took it and converted it into what I wanted. The papers are from my stash - I've had them ages and I love the colour combo - I've nearly used it all now and I'm gutted as I don't know where they were from originally and I want some more !!!
I cut the flowers out with my Spellbinders and inked them up and then layered them.
I hope you like my ducky basket ;o)

Fergus ;o)

Hello everyone - well it looks like Spring has sprung - I just hope it lasts as it is so nice to see the sunshine ;o)  I thought I'd pop a card on this morning using a beautiful Fergus stamp from Wild Rose Studio, available here .  So, here we go;

This is Fergus with bouquet and I have coloured him with distress inks.  The papers are Butterfly Garden also from Wild Rose, which I have inked around the edges.  I have layered Fergus onto a splendid circle Spellbinder using some Bazzill card.  The ribbon is seam binding which I coloured with Victorian Velvet distress ink.  I then added a few flowers from my stash.  The sentiment is also a Wild Rose stamp from their Birthday Circles, which I heat embossed.
I hope you love Fergus as much as I do ;o)

Craft US Crazy challenge - EAster ;o)

Well I don't know where this year is going, with Easter being just around the corner now!!  Anyway it is time for a new challenge over at Craft US Crazy

Our challenge theme we have for you this time is RELIGIOUS/EASTER and/or SOMETHING SWEET!! So if you've got a project for us that fits either of these themes, we want to see it!!!!!

Our sponsor this week is the amazing...
I have done an Easter card with a bright, Springy colour theme of green and yellow!

The Easter basket is from the Cutting Cafe's Easter Set 2.
The bunny is a stamp I have had for ages that came in a box full of bits and bobs that I bought for only a few pounds, so I am not sure what make he is but I think he's real cute!  He is coloured with Prisma pencils.  The leaves and the ribbon buckle are Spellbinders.  The card is just stuff from my stash that I've had forever and I am trying to use LOL.
I am loving the zingy colours ;o)
Anyway I hope you will join in at Carft US Crazy - remember that it doesn't have to be a crad - it can be any crafty project that is Easter or something sweet themed.  Look forward to seeing you there

A Spellbinders card

Hell everyone - I don't seem to have achieved much this week (or last week actually) but I tyhought I would post a card I did using spellbinders and an unusual colour combo (for me) of tangerine and black.  So here it is ;o)

So, the card stock is core'dinations - the black is Black magic sanded back to reveal it's lovely tangerine core ;o)  The Spellbinders are Labels 25, then there are the Lattice motifs and accents and the Damask Motifs.  The tangerine card at the back is embossed using one of the new Spellbinders M-bossabilities.  The spotty paper is from Graphic 45.  The little flower is made using wax paper which I crumpled up and then inked with dried marigold and stamped with the large stamp from Studio 490's  Lower case art set.  I then heated it up so the inked sank in and got trapped under the wax.  I then cut out one of the Spellbinders layered flowers 10 times (actually I just cut it once but with 10 layers of the wax paper - it went through just fine ). I punched a hole in the centre and added a brad and just crumpled each layer to make a tatty flower.  The ribbon is some vintage ribbon from my stash.
I stamped and embossed my sentiment and then stuck it all together ;o)
Simple but I like it ;o)

Don't forget to pop over to my store blog and enter your cards for a chance to win the cute Wild Rose Studio stamp and paper pad - you can enter here !!
