Late Valentine

Hello - well it's still chaos here and I haven't had much chance to do many cards unfortunately.  However I didn't post the picture of my Valentine's card that I made for my husband so thought I share it now.

So this is ladybug Tilda coloured with distress inks.I used some old design papers from my stash which I think are from a K & Co pad.
The heart shapes were cut out on my Cricut and I used a stamp addicts stamp to add the script which I embossed with gold detail powder (by WOW)
I used a Martha Stewart lace edger punch for the detail plus some black and red organza ribbon.  Finally I added a flower pin through the ribbon and some card candy!!  Oh and  Lili of the Valley sentiment.
I thought this was a really cute card and hubby seemed pleased to receive it so that's the main thing ;o)
Well I'm off to buy tiles in the morning and then I have the dreaded dentist on Tuesday for a root canal ( I am terrified of the dentist so this promises to be something of an ordeal for me!) and then on Wednesday I have an MRI scan so another stressful day as I don't like confined spaces either.  I have to say that these two things along with all the mess of having the kitchen done and setting up the web shop are making me rather stressed out at the moment.

Anyway I will be back by  at least Wednesday as there is another challenge due for Crafts US Crazy this week so I have a card to show for that.

Speak soon

Craft US Crazy - challenge 2

Hello everyone - well it's time already for the Craft Us Crazy challenge number 2.

Our first challenge had an amazing amount of participants with amazing talent showcased!! This week's challenge is to complete a project using a WINTER theme. Our fantastic sponsor for this week's challenge is MELJEN'S DESIGNS. They have some of the most adorable digi images. For the entire month of February we have two terrific sponsors, THE CUTTING CAFE and STAMPS ALIVE.
Now my project wasn't a card this time but something that most of us have seemed to have needed over the last couple of months and that is - a tissue box.

 So this is using a Meljen's Designs beautiful digi stamp called Yeti Cocoa - Isn't he the cutest.  He is coloured in with pro markers on a Spellbinders nestie.  Finished off with some distress ink.  The papers are from The Nitwits collection, as well as the little hearts which I used crackle accents on and then Vintage photo distress ink on the top.  Added a few buttons with some string threaded through to finish.

Tha actual box I made myself and cut out the little opening with an oval nestie.  The words Winter sniffles were cut out on my Cricut.
So, I hope you like my creation and that you are enjoying our challenges so far.
(Sorry I'm a little late posting - I have no kitchen and so all my kitchen things are all over the house and I can barely move in my craft room!!)
Hope to see you all at the challenge blog

Sorry!!

Hello everyone - so sorry I haven't posted for a while but it is absolute chaos here!  We are having the kitchen renovated and have hjad 3 walls knocked down and everything else ripped out and we have been told it's all going to take another fortnight!!!!  I am going insane over the mess that's everywhere as all the kitchen stuff and food etc is in the living room and to top it all I have to empty my craft room as all the commotion in the next room caused some of the plaster to drop off the wall so they have to re-plaster in here as well!
Plus I am busy trying to stock the shop and chasing wholesalers and things so I am going to meet myself coming back at some point.
Hopefully I will make a card soon (Have got to make hubby's Valentine's card over the weekend) and be able to post some nice pictures.
Anyhoo, back to the chaos - one last thing if there are any budding stamp designers out there I will be looking for designs shortly to produce some 'Ladybug' brand stamps so if you fancy seeing your name in rubber (LOL) let me know.
Back soon

Couple of Cricut cards

Just a quick post with two cards I made on the Imagine (one with added stamped image though)  I wasn't that happy with them but thought I'd show you anyway! So here we are;

 So this one is from the Imagine More Cards cartridge and I have just distressed the edges and added distress inks.  I cut it out in layers and then added some lace and glitter.  It's not a bad card - it's quite cute now that I look at it now!
 This one was cut ou twith the templates on the Imagine and the papers from the Imagine More cartridge.  The lettering was cut with the Black letter cartridge.

I added a doily and the Tilda stamp which I coloured with pro markers.  The roses are from Wild Orchid crafts.
The tag is a Magnolia Doo Hickey tag.
So I hope you like these two cards - well they aren't the best I've done but I just need the time to sit down and craft properly - we are having our kitchen ripped out, walls knocked down and then a new kitchen fitted which is all going to take about 2 or 3 weeks so it is chaos here.
On the other hand I am dying to buy some Prisma pencils and paper stumps and have a good go with this colouring medium for a change.  Just need to save my pennies LOL.
I'll be back soon with some better cards.
Take care

Craft US crazy challenge - woo hoo

Well today is the day - the start of the new Craft US Crazy challenge blog.

This will run from Thursday to Wednesday over a fortnight.  And for the first challenge the theme is; 'Anything goes'
The sponsors this week areDigital delights who have digis up for grabs.  There are also two monthly sponsors; Stamps alive and The Cutting Cafe  and they also have great prizes going!!  For all of these see the links in my sidebar!
So now to my first card as part of the design team;

 So here is and I have used a Kenny K digi stamp from one of his Krash Kittens range.  She is coloured with Pro markers.  I used nestabilities labels for the outer shape.  The DPs are from Basic Grey's Olivia range.  I have also used seam binding which I inked up to match the card (it started out being cream) .  The just for you stamp is one I've had for ages along with the little heart charm hanging from the ribbon.
Well I hope you liked this first card and I hope you will join in the fun with us.  We welcome all abilities too so please don't feel you aren't up to the challenge as we know that you are ;o)

Blog award

Well I have been awarded a blog award by the wonderful Meesh who is the most amazing artist and can do things with pro markers that you wouldn't believe!!  So I am honoured to accept it.

Here are the rules for accepting first...
This special award, which is aimed at bringing unknown good blogs to light and in accepting the award I have had to agree to the following conditions;

1) You have been tagged, do you want to accept? YES!
then create a post on your blog and post the love blog photo.
2) Link back to the person who gave you the award and say if you accept.
3) Choose 3-5 of your favourite blogs to tag, link these in your post too and tell the lucky people they have been tagged.

So, I have done the first two - now for the third - it is so hard as I follow so many amazing blogs - so here we go;
Bettina
As the aim of this award is to bring unknown good blogs to light, please don't tag somebody with 3000 followers.

Visit these ladies as they are all extremely talented crafters.
Thanks again to Meesh - you are a real inspiration

New name

Back again - just to let you know I will be changing the name of my blog in a few days - I am opening an online craft shop called Ladybug Crafts and I want to be able to link my blog to the shop!  I did want to call it Bumblebee crafts but was unable to in the end for various reasons.
Anyway I hope you will continue to follow me and share my new adventure - I am hoping to run a few challenges and maybe have 1 or 2 people designing cards for that so keep a look out as I will post here when I need people.
Also, if there is anything you would like to see in my shop - perhaps things that you have found difficult to get hold of in the UK (although I will ship worldwide) please let me know and I will do my very best to get hold of it.This is my little dream and althugh I am very nervous I am also very excited and I want to provide a great service for all crafty people!
So look out for my new logo and don't forget to tell your friends ;o)
I'll be back later with piccies of my tidy(er) craft room and a couple of cards.
