Back to Black

Well it's a rainy day here - such a shame for all those who have planned Jubilee events but I'm sure they will still all have a great time ;o)  I'm here with a crad which is a little unusual as I have stamped and coloured an image onto black card which I think has turned out quite well !  I have done a few of these types of cards lately so thought I would share the first one I did with you.  So I have used a stamp form the Crafter's Companion Humphrey range;

I stamped the image in white ink and then I coloured him in with Prisma pencils and blended with sansodor.  I'm not sure you can see in the picture but I added glossy accents to the rose and to Humphrey's button and heart on his dungarees.  The patterned paper is from the Humphrey's Corner CD Rom and I matted and layered onto core'dinations card stock.  I added vintage ribbon, bakers twine and a wooden button.  I finished with a couple of stick pins and a sentiment from the smae stamp set.  I did the inside of the card to match.  I don't think the photos really do it justice really as Humphrey's colours really stand out against the black card.

I hope you like this card - I'll post another sample later ;o)
